LDS Single Blog was started by Brad, a 45+ LDS Single living in Utah. I am in that humungous catch-all group ages 46-120 years old that usually doesn’t have as many activities and when they DO have activities and you go to them it can be a smidge interesting because of the age range you see at them. I’m not in the Young Single Adult group 18-30 or the kinda funny 31-45 group that I have heard rumors was started because they didn’t want old codgers, myself included – on bad days, going to the dances and asking lots younger LDS Single women to dance and pesterin’ them.

I got one email that said the 31-45 group was started by a general authority, because of those women writing about the problem, but I think it is a bit interesting/funny to be “carded” at a dance because you are TOO OLD This hasn’t happened to me – yet because I am a good guy and I be not a-breaking the rules and going to the 31-45 year old group activities. I did see it done once at a 31-45 Lehi, Utah Volleyball game – back in the olden days when I was still 45.

I started LDS Single Blog so that I could motivate myself to get involved with the LDS Single Activities again – because lately I have been one smidge burned out about them, and so that I can look for the humor and fun in the singles activities, and write about it. No I am not going to make fun of any single person or group specifically, or name anyone specifically, but I may poke fun generally at LDS Singles Activities and LDS Singles adults. There are definitely some interesting characters out there, myself included, and yeah we are a “peculiar people” – at times.
